Lend to friends
No account, no verification, no paperwork. Snap a photo, pick who gets it — done. Lavaa remembers who has what and reminds everyone to return it.

Tap one from your inventory or snap a quick photo — recognition suggests the title and description. Nobody has to type.

See who has what at any time. On return, just scan the QR code.

Rent out for money
Once money is involved, Stripe keeps it safe — for both sides. Here's how it works from the owner's and the renter's point of view.
From the owner's side

Set up a payout account
On your first rental Lavaa sends you to Stripe (Express). You enter your name, IBAN and date of birth — required by law for payouts.

Stripe verifies you
Stripe verifies your account in the background. Once cleared, you can receive payouts — usually within minutes.

List it: price & deposit
Snap a photo, set the daily rate and deposit. Lavaa shows the renter every cost transparently, including the 5% service fee.

Hand over & get paid automatically
Scan the QR code at handover. The rent minus 5% lands in your account; the deposit stays held on the renter's card.

Confirm the return
After return you release the deposit with a tap. If something's damaged, you can keep it in full or in part.
From the renter's side

Find an item & book
Pick your dates and book. You pay exactly the listed rental price — no hidden surcharges.

One-time ID check (if required)
For valuable items Stripe Identity asks once for an ID document and selfie. After that it's done for all future bookings.

Pay — deposit only held
The rent is charged; the deposit is only held on your card (not charged). Secure via Stripe.

Pick up with photo check-in
At pickup you scan the QR code and take two condition photos. That protects you if anything is claimed later.

Return — deposit released
Return on time. If all is well, the deposit hold is released — usually right away.
Optional ID check
For valuable items the owner can require the renter to verify with an ID document and selfie. Stripe Identity handles it — secure, one-time, and nobody but Stripe sees the data.
Stripe is a certified payment provider. Lavaa stores neither bank details nor ID data — those live only with Stripe.
